Some good advice in that interview Adam.

Event attendees, excluding the sponsors and organisers, have until 15 May 2012 to enter the competition to win one of two 2 night hotel stays during the event:

I think people should avoid payday loans like the plague. The interest rates are absolutely horrible! There are other ways to get out of a pinch everyone! :D

This is a great comment, so thanks Sam.

I'll address this in a post shortly. In short, I've stopped temporarily but will be starting soon and making up for lost time.

It's still totally worth getting the match, even if it's low...if nothing else it spreads your risk.

Great comment.

Adam,

I live in San Clemente, which is half-way between L.A. and San Diego. Our city has the motto "World's Best Climate". Our house doesn't have air conditioning, since we live just a few blocks from the ocean. I grew up inland and it was way too hot in the summer. I don't miss that.

I am quite a ways from San Francisco and am not sure yet if I will attend FinCon. If so, I'll let you know. Also, if you ever come near Southern California, let me know.

Absolutely right about how much of life is a psychological game. Seeing my bank account drop and knowing that a big lump sum is not about to deposit itself in there at the end of the month is something I'm not quite used to yet.

And it was a great call to bring up my age and situation. It's a huge factor as to why I'm not super stressed...I only have to look after myself rather than support a family. Nor do I have a mortgage or any other kind of debt other than income-based student loans.

Thanks Erik.
